Think back to a year ago. If you’re like most people, you made resolutions and plans to make 2022 the best year ever! Maybe you were going to exercise more, eat less or slay your competition at the office. And it’s likely that most of those resolutions dissolved sometime during the first quarter of the year leaving you once again facing a New Year perhaps feeling a bit frustrated with the progress you’ve made.
Well, first, let me congratulate you! You’re here to celebrate another year of living! Instead of focusing on what you haven’t yet accomplished, what if you use this special moment in time to take inventory of all the goodness in your life?
Instead of beating yourself up for goals you haven’t achieved and once again making new “resolutions”, what if you made a list of everything you do well? Take the time to congratulate yourself and be proud of your strengths and achievements no matter how small they might seem in the scheme of things.
And instead of more unobtainable goals, what if you wrote down everything that truly makes you feel happy in your heart and you looked at that list every day? Do you think you would find the time and means to do more of those things? Doesn’t it seem that whatever our focus, the universe tends to bring us more of the same?
We all face challenges be they physical, emotional, financial, or other. Sometimes our lives become so complicated that we lose sight of what is truly important to each of us. Life is short. May your New Year celebration be an opportunity to fill your life with gratitude and kindness.
I am thankful for your continued support personally and professionally. Please let me know if I can ever be of service to you. Here’s to a truly great 2023!
